Let me first say that although painting high-traffic stairs sounded like a good idea, little did I know that no matter how much I primed and no matter how many coats of Polycrylic I coated them with, one scuff of a boot or a heel was enough to knock some paint loose. To me, being the perfectionist that I am, it was MADDENING. To everyone else, the stairs still look much better than before and see it as an improvement. I just need to live and let go and enjoy my cheery stairs minus the chip or two!
So here is my reveal! (Disregard the crap sitting on the garbage can to the left. It's now my catch-all as my work table is covered in my next project!)

Here's after 2 coats of primer, already looking better!
I plan on adding a fun, bright wreath to the door as well, but haven't had the time to do the one I want. But I think they turned out OK!
